MUHAMMAD AND THOSE WHO STOLE HIS PROPERTY.

MUHAMMAD AND THOSE WHO STOLE HIS PROPERTY.

According to the Qur’an and Muslims they say that Muhammad was sent as mercy to the mankind. But in this teaching you will see it clearly that his not.

First of all how did Muhammad get his property? The truth is that Muhammad get his properties by attacking people and raiding people who went for business on the road.

ABU SUFYAN & QURASHY CARAVAN.

I will start exposing this by quoting Quran 8:5-7 [It is] just as when your Lord brought you out of your home [for the battle of Badr] in truth, while indeed, a party among the believers were unwilling, Arguing with you concerning the truth after it had become clear, as if they were being driven toward death while they were looking on. [Remember, O believers], when Allah promised you one of the two groups – that it would be yours – and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allah intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers.

We are going to check the circumstances behind this Surah and Chapter of this Quran in Tafsir Ibn Kathir

TAFSIR IBN KATHIR

Muhammad bin Ishaq reported that `Abdullah bin `Abbas said, “When the Messenger of Allah heard that Abu Sufyan had left the Sham area (headed towards Makkah with Quraysh’s caravan), he encouraged the Muslims to march forth to intercept them, saying,

This is the caravan of Quraysh carrying their property, so march forth to intercept it, Allah might make it as war spoils for you.

The people started mobilizing Muslims, although some of them did not mobilize, thinking that the Prophet would not have to fight. Abu Sufyan was cautiously gathering information on the latest news spying on travelers he met, out of fear for the caravan, especially upon entering the area of Hijaz (Western Arabia). Some travelers told him that Muhammad had mobilized his companions for his caravan. He was anxious and hired Damdam bin `Amr Al-Ghifari to go to Makkah and mobilize the Quraysh to protect their caravan, informing them that Muhammad had mobilized his Companions to intercept the caravan. Damdam bin `Amr went in a hurry to Makkah. Meanwhile, the Messenger of Allah marched with his companions until he reached a valley called Dhafiran. When he left the valley, he camped and was informed that the Quraysh had marched to protect their caravan. The Messenger of Allah consulted the people for advice and conveyed the news about Quraysh to them. Abu Bakr stood up and said something good, and so did `Umar. Al-Miqdad bin `Amr stood up and said, `O Allah’s Messenger! March to what Allah has commanded you, for we are with you. By Allah! We will not say to you what the Children of Israel said to Musa,

Can you see how Muhammad and the Muslims went to attack people while they were coming from Syria, from Business trip. Let check another reference from Islamic Sirah.

SIRAH IBN ISHAQ PAGE 515.

Muhmmad and His companion went to Khaibar to attack jews. He commanded Kinana who was the Treasurer to be tortured till they collect everything he has and he hide, not that alone he commanded one of his followers to behead this man.

Kinlina b. al-Rabi’, who had the custody of the treasure of B. al-Na<jjr, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it. He denied that he ·knew where it was. A Jew came (T. was brought) to the apostle and said that he T. 158. had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. \Vhen the aposHe said to Kinana, ‘Do you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you /’ he said Yes. The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr b. al-‘Awwam, ‘Torture him until you extract what he has,’ so he kindled a 764 fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud.

AL TABARI VOLUME 8 PAGE 122-123. ALSO COMFIRMED THIS STORY.

According to Ibn Isliaq: Kinanah b. al-Rabi` b. Abi al-Hugayq, who had the treasure of the Band al-Nadir,508 was brought to the Messenger of God, who questioned him; but he denied knowing where it was. Then the Messenger of God was brought a Jew who said to him, “I have seen Kinanah walk around this ruin every morning.” The Messenger of God said to Kinanah: “What do you say? If we find it in your possession, I will kill you.”509 “All right,” he answered. The Messenger of God commanded that the ruin should be dug up, and some of the treasure was extracted from it. Then he asked him for the rest of it. Kinanah refused to surrender it; so the Messenger of God gave orders concerning him to alZubayr b. al-‘Awwam, saying, “Torture him until you root out what he has.” Al-Zubayr kept twirling his firestick in his breasteio until Kinanah almost expired; then the Messenger of God gave him to Muhammad b. Maslamah, who beheaded him to avenge his brother Mahmud b. Maslamah.

It is very clear to everyone now how he get his properties, there are many reference but I will quote them in another teaching.

Now what did Muhammad did to those who stole his camel?

I will start sight Qur’an 5:33 first, because this verse of the Qur’an was revealed concerning the thieves.

Quran 5:33. Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land. That is for them a disgrace in this world; and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment,

TAFSIR IBN KATHIR

Al-Bukhari and Muslim recorded that Abu Qilabah `Abdullah bin Zayd Al-Jarmi, said that Anas bin Malik said, “Eight people of the `Ukl tribe came to the Messenger of Allah and gave him their pledge to follow Islam. Al-Madinah’s climate did not suit them and they became sick and complained to Allah’s Messenger. So he said,

(Go with our shephard to be treated by the milk and urine of his camels.) So they went as directed, and after they drank from the camels’ milk and urine, they became healthy, and they killed the shepherd and drove away all the camels. The news reached the Prophet and he sent (men) in their pursuit and they were captured. He then ordered that their hands and feet be cut off (and it was done), and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron. Next, they were put in the sun until they died.” This is the wording of Muslim. In another narration for this Hadith, it was mentioned that these people were from the tribes of `Ukl or `Uraynah. Another narration reported that these people were put in the Harrah area (of Al-Madinah), and when they asked for water, no water was given to them.

HADITH SAHIH BUKHARI

Narrated Abu Qilaba:

Anas said, “Some people of `Ukl or `Uraina tribe came to Medina and its climate did not suit them. So the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered them to go to the herd of (Milch) camels and to drink their milk and urine (as a medicine). So they went as directed and after they became healthy, they killed the shepherd of the Prophet and drove away all the camels. The news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) early in the morning and he sent (men) in their pursuit and they were captured and brought at noon. He then ordered to cut their hands and feet (and it was done), and their eyes were branded with heated pieces of iron, They were put in ‘Al-Harra’ and when they asked for water, no water was given to them.” Abu Qilaba said, “Those people committed theft and murder, became infidels after embracing Islam and fought against Allah and His Apostle . Sahih al-Bukhari 233.

HADITH SAHIH MUSLIM

Anas reported:

Eight men of the tribe of ‘Ukl came to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and swore allegiance to him on Islam, but found the climate of that land uncogenial to their health and thus they became sick, and they made complaint of that to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), and he said: Why don’t you go to (the fold) of our camels along with our shepherd, and make use of their milk and urine. They said: Yes. They set out and drank their (camels’) milk and urine and regained their health. They killed the shepherd and drove away the camels. This (news) reached Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and he sent them on their track and they were caught and brought to him (the Holy Prophet). He commanded about them, and (thus) their hands and feet were cut off and their eyes were gouged and then they were thrown in the sun, until they died. This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn al-Sabbah with a slight variation of words. Sahih Muslim 1671b.

HADITH SUNAN AN NASA’I

Anas bin Malik narrated that:

A group of eighty people from ‘Ukl came to the Prophet [SAW], but the climate of Al-Madinah did not suit them and they fell sick. They complained about that to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and he said: “Why don’t you go out with our herdsmen and drink the milk and urine of the camels?” They said: “Yes (we will do that).” They went out and drank some of the (camels’) milk and urine, and they recovered. Then they killed the herdsman of the Messenger of Allah [SAW], so he sent (men after them) and they caught them and brought them back. He had their hands and feet cut off and branded their eyes, and left them in the sun to die.  Sunan an-Nasa’i 4024.

Have you seen what Muhammad did to those who stole  his own camel? He forget that this is the same way he get them but he did not want people to do to him what he did to others.

WHAT DID JESUS SAY ABOUT THIS MUHAMMAD CHARACTER?

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12.

Do to others as you would have them do to you. Luke 6:31.

The context of the Golden Rule in the Sermon on the Mount is significant. Jesus presents it as a guiding principle for righteous living, emphasizing its alignment with the Law and the Prophets. This connection highlights the continuity between Jesus’ teachings and the ethical imperatives of the Old Testament. The rule is not merely a suggestion but a command that reflects the heart of God’s law.

The Golden Rule is also echoed in the Gospel of Luke, where Jesus states, “Do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31). In this context, Jesus is teaching about love for enemies and the importance of mercy, further illustrating the rule’s application in fostering relationships characterized by love and compassion.

In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew‬ ‭7‬:12‬ ‭
The genuineness of our relationship with God shows up in the way we treat people. We are to treat others as we want to be treated by them. Notice, Jesus expects Christians to initiate. We don’t wait for love to return love. We prime the pump because the fruit of the Spirit flows through us.
Then He said, “for this is the Law and the prophets.” What does that mean? It seems that God holds us to a higher standard in our ethics in dealing with people no matter who they are or what the circumstances. God expects us to be loving, truthful and honest no matter how others act or treat us. He expects us to treat others with love, respect and dignity.
This verse goes way beyond being a principle for good interpersonal relationships. It is more like a Christian Code of Conduct. It is the standard of how we are to treat people. Stay with me, we are going to take a deeper dive into the meaning of the law and the prophets.
In Romans 13:8-10, Paul says all the commandments are summed up in the statement, “9)… You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 10) Love does no wrong to a neighbor, love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.” The qualifier in this verse is “agape” love. This is the God kind of love.
Jesus implied that we should treat people the way He treats people. 1 John 4:8 & 16 both say that “God is love.” This may sound awkward, but Jesus expects us to “agape” all people we come in contact with because He is our source. Agape love is the sap that flows through the vine of Christ from which every true Christian produces fruit.

If you go through this teaching, you will discover How Jesus teaching promote love and peace, and how Muhammad lifestyle promote violence, hatred and evil.

Now can Muhammad be seen as mercy to the world and be taken as role model? I know the answer will be no.

Jesus is the only way.
